A multi-faith life cycle + learning center
My husband and I are very grateful we found By the Rivers and Rabbi Alan to help us create a personalized and meaningful wedding ceremony. We wanted a professional ceremony that reflected some of our core values of family, social justice, and environmental stewardship, but that didn’t represent any one particular religion. Rabbi Alan was wonderful to work with, he took our partially-formed vision of our ideal wedding ceremony and transformed it into a beautiful, memorable, and fun ceremony that was better than we could have imagined.
I am so glad that I discovered “By the Rivers” to use for my recent workshop. It is very centrally located in the Twin Cities so was easy for everyone to find. The space itself was large and versatile to meet my specific workshop needs yet a very warm and cozy environment. Rabbi Alan is a great host to work with and had plenty of equipment and furniture to accommodate all of our needs. I look forward to partnering with Alan and By the Rivers again in the future.
In my opinion, Rabbi Stiefel offered an interesting and well thought out presentation. The finale of her session included each of us washing hands. It was a moving and uniting gesture
This session also was quite worthwhile—worth attending. Dr. Marboe did an especially good job of engaging the group in discussion, which was provocative. His knowledge of Jewish as well as Christian traditions was impressive.
Thank you so much By the Rivers! After many conversations, Sean and I found ourselves struggling with how we wanted to incorporate spirituality into our wedding which was true to us as a couple and respectful to the broad spectrum of belief systems of the ones we love, By the Rivers really came through on both fronts! Thank you Rabbi Alan for putting us in touch with Pastor Jenny. Our experience with Pastor Jenny was amazing! She was friendly, down to earth and the calm in the wedding planning storm. She took the time to get to know us, answered all of our questions, put any concerns to rest and made us feel extremely comfortable. All around, By the Rivers was an absolute blessing when it came to helping us plan and celebrate our special day.
We are a multi-faith learning and lifecycle center, committed to helping connect individuals of all faiths with lifecycle events and meaningful spiritual exploration.
